The Neistat Brothers on HBO was a television show I made with my brother Van. It originally aired in 2010. Van and I wrote, directed, edited and starred in the series. My good friend Tom Scott
produced it. This was the last project my brother and I collaborated on as a creative team.
the following text was written by HBO not casey. it's not bad. just not how i write
Van and Casey Neistat, two artists and filmmakers based in New York, began their careers in 2000, when the iMac DV first allowed consumers to edit video. Since then, a number of their projects - including 'iPod's Dirty Secret,' which lampooned Apple's battery-replacement-policy - have gained tremendous notoriety online. Entirely self-taught with no formal film-school education, the brothers have shot more than 200 short films, releasing much on their work on the internet and finding success in the art world. In this new unique HBO series the brothers transform their craft into eight autobiographical episodes, composed of brief films about the Neistat's lives as they embark on 'adventures' with their friends and families.
